Abstract:

The Seismic network of the Republic of Slovenia (SNRS) is a state-wide permanent digital broad-band seismic network operated by Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO). The first digital seismic station was put into operation in 1990. In 1996 it was upgraded to 6 digital stations, From 2001 to 2006 it was continuously upgraded to current number of 26 stations. Most of them are six channel stations equipped with broad-band seismometre (STS-2 or Guralp) and accelerometre (Episensor). All data are received in real-time at the ARSO data centre located in Ljubljana. The main purpose of the network is to continuously monitor the seismicity of Slovenia and worldwide and to provide high quality data for the seismological and geodynamic scientific research.
